A Universe Of Wants

The combined entity of desire and loss

.

Tearing through the fabric of time,
Shifting the cosmos aside,
I met you where the galaxy ended,
Awe struck and lost,
Heart all lit up,
A blood rich, beating bolide.

I spun in an elliptic,
A singular orbit of the isolated,
Reds, greens and blacks painted the sky
An aurora of our sentiments
You crash landed into me,
Adrift from our axis and alight
We stood still stunned,
Surrounded in tektite.

You were a medley
Of passion and persuasion,
Cut with a tang of misery,
Our paths crossed
Where eternity began,
Beneath an umbra of falling stars,
Where comets sang.

Cut from the cloth of fate,
Woven with threads of infinity,
When all else faltered,
You spun into my orbit,
Within your arms
I sensed possibilities.

Time was relative
Words didn’t exist
Your eyes glowed
Brighter than constellations,
A supernova of our history
A story written in invisible ink,
Carved into souls,
Our collapsing tapestry.

We spoke not in numbers,
Needed no names,
What mattered mankind’s greed
Nor thoughts,
When in your arms
My flesh lit up in flames.
